Network
Engineering Process |
|
Planning
In
response to your problem, the process starts with a
detailed site survey and a meeting to understand and
define the current and future requirements. This process
incorporates both technological and business issues
such as requirements to replace components, solve performance
or access difficulties, enhance the network management
tool set, implement security procedures, and execute
changes to the management operations model.
|
Design
The
design phase identifies the tasks required to specify
and test technology, tools and the infrastructure. Detailed,
high level design specifications are created, test strategies
are formulated, and test scripts (procedures) are generated.
A pilot test model is designed and subjected to a successive
testing strategy prior to implementation.
|
Implementation
DSC engineers are instrumental during the implementation
phase of the project, performing many of the key functions
in the process.
- Perform systems integration.
- Create implementation and certification strategies.
- Schedule changes to the production environment.
- Install new network configurations and technologies
online with minimal disruptions.
- Conduct and document user acceptance tests.
- Train client technical and administrative
staff.
|
Operations
We support daily task and management disciplines such
as account administration, network configuration, problem
resolution, performance, and security management. DSC
assesses organizational performance and effectiveness,
paying particular attention to service-level tuning,
planning, and execution, operational tracking and analysis,
contingency planning, disaster recovery, and management
reporting.
|
Optimization
The optimization step focuses on performance management
to improve internetworking resources. Activities include
identifying, planning, designing, and implementing performance
and capacity improvements in the client network environment.
DSC engineers define and manage optimization criteria
and priorities as they plan, design, and implement network
enhancements. An evaluation of requirements and the
environment complete the optimization package.
